The Department of Film and Media Arts at Temple University is a nationally and internationally recognized program in documentary, independent narrative, and experimental forms. The program encourages a cross-disciplinary mix of theory and practice including hybrid and digital arts production. The department offers B.A., B.F.A., M.A., M.F.A. and Ph.D. degrees and supervises a renowned Los Angeles Program. With an enrollment of over 500 undergraduates and about 40 graduate students, the Department of Film and Media Arts produces engaged artists, who are also critical thinkers and scholars, attuned to the issues facing their communities.
