Writer/Director/Producer, On The Invention Of Species

Born in Cuenca, Ecuador. Studied Film Direction at the International Film School (EICTV), in Cuba.
Writer, Director and Producer of three feature films: “Qué tan lejos” (How much further, 2006); “En el nombre de la hija” (In the name of the girl, 2011); and “La invención de las especies” (On the invention of species, 2024).
Combines filmmaking with teaching and academic research on screenwriting. She has complementary studies in Creative Writing and Cultural Studies, and currently pursues a Doctoral Degree in Arts, with a dissertation on Screenwriting Poetics at the UCM (Universidad Complutense de Madrid).
