Co-Writer/Director, Satoshi

Sara Crow is a New York-based filmmaker whose stories center subcultures and misfits. She is a 2024 Sundance Screenwriters + Directors Lab Fellow and the co-recipient of the Sloan Sundance Fellowship, NYU/Sloan Feature Film Prize, and SFFILM Sloan Science in Cinema Grant with Satoshi. Sara has an MFA from NYU’s Graduate Film program, where she was a Martin Scorsese Scholar. Her thesis film “Why I Am an Anarchist” stars Matilda Lawler (Station Eleven) and Izaac Wang (Didi), and received NYU’s AnnaRose King Award for Comedic Storytelling and the Chris Columbus Production Award. As a documentarian, Sara has produced and directed award-winning work for many outlets including the New York City Ballet, HBO, Disney+, and Showtime. Her background in documentary bleeds into her narrative work; Sara loves world-building and diving into little-known histories.
