Writer/Producer, Incompleteness

An L.A. native, John started out covering film and the arts for Grantland, Vanity Fair online and The Los Angeles Times, among others. John was a fellow of the Sundance Episodic Lab and his short film PLAN B was selected for the NBC Short Cuts Film festival. He has written and produced for such shows as Strange Angel, Seven Seconds, The Man Who Fell to Earth, and The Terminal List. Most recently, he co-wrote the play When Light Bends about Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity and Arthur Eddington’s expedition to prove it, which was produced by MAX Live in conjunction with the 2024 eclipse. John was also a member of the WGA’s AI working group in the run up to its 2023 contract negotiations. His feature-length screenplay Incompleteness, about the Austrian Logician Kurt Goedel and adapted from Rebecca Goldstein’s book, was awarded a Sundance/Sloan grant.
