Joe Posner is a non-fiction filmmaker, motion designer, musician, and creative leader. After early work leading animation for documentary films such as Freakonomics, the Oscar-nominated If a Tree Falls, and Point and Shoot (which received an Emmy nomination for its animation), he created the National Magazine Award-nominated series Op-Video, and then co-founded Vox Video in 2014. Over the next 8 years he built their award-winning YouTube channel and created Emmy-nominated streaming series like Level Playing Field on HBO, and Explained on Netflix, the most prolific docuseries on Netflix with 70 episodes.
