Cynthia Lowen is an Emmy-nominated filmmaker and award-winning writer whose work uses the power of story to catalyze meaningful change. She’s a 2023 Sundance Institute/Alfred P. Foundation Sloan Screenwriting Fellow for her narrative script ‘Light Mass Energy.’ Cynthia is also the director/producer of the documentaries ‘Battleground’ (STARZ), about the overturning of Roe v. Wade, and ‘Netizens’ (HBO), a feature documentary about women and online harassment. Cynthia is also a winner of the National Poetry Series for her collection ‘The Cloud that Contained the Lightning,’ about J. Robert Oppenheimer, and she’s a member of the Producers Guild of America.
