Ali Vanderkruyk is an experimental filmmaker, researcher and educator based between Toronto and Los Angeles. Her work engages with shifting notions of the self and other in documentary ethics as it relates to ecology, carceral spaces, institutional archives and the body. She holds an MFA in Film/Video from California Institute of the Arts and was recently named one of the 25 New Faces of Independent Film in Filmmaker Magazine (2024).
