Synopsis

Following the death of his father—Emperor of Persia and Central Asia—a 15th-century scholar-astronomer who inherits the throne struggles to complete his landmark astronomical handbook while contending with rival family members, reactionary religious forces, and his own aversion to brutality.

Bio

Vincent Kazer was born in Baltimore, grew up in Chicago and Atlanta, and studied history at the University of Chicago. He subsequently spent the better part of a decade working and traveling abroad, with teaching stints in Ukraine, Colombia, and northern Iraq. He moved to Los Angeles in August 2015 to pursue his screenwriting MFA degree at UCLA.
