Synopsis:

James Thomas, an aloof NBA Star negotiating a record-breaking new contract and dozens of brand deals, lives an opulent but isolated life. He’s estranged from his father with few friends and associates. When James makes a provocative comment on a popular podcast, a sound bite framing him as a Science-denier goes viral, leaving his team owner and sponsors furious. The stress of the controversy causes the star player to lose his shot, throwing his new deal into question.

Noah Roberson lives with his loving mom and feisty grandmother while his
hard-working dad puts in months-long stretches on a Canadian oil rig. The young prodigy balances caring for his diabetic grandmother with trying to spread his love of Science through demonstrations in his neighborhood playground. He believes that winning the National Science Fair is the key to securing a spot at an elite high school – a critical step towards becoming a world-class scientist and breaking the barrier to his community’s access to STEM.

When the strong-willed duo comedically collides, James and Noah must
navigate each other’s defenses to form a trusting bond through the
alchemy of family, friendship, and community.
