Synopsis 

No one at her new school gets Callie, an awkward twelve-year-old whose one friend, Mabel, is a small potted plant. Desperate to impress her charismatic science teacher, Callie starts building a secret greenhouse laboratory in her backyard—but Callie’s her obsession threatens her first real connection to another child.
