Synopsis 

In 1872, Rowan, a curious eighteen-year-old with leprosy, has always lived in a colony on the outskirts of New Orleans. Rowan knows that if she wants to be accepted by the outside world she must leave the colony before the lesions spread to her face. Little Leper follows Rowan’s escape as she forges her own path while searching for a cure to her disease.
