
Writer, Missile Man
Niki Iyer is a Bay Area–born sports media executive, former national-level athlete, and bioengineer turned storyteller. A UC Berkeley Film and UCLA MFA Screenwriting alum, she earned the Alfred P. Sloan Screenwriting Grant for her pilot on Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and co-led the UCLA Screenwriting Showcase. She’s worked in development at FilmNation, Proximity Media, and more, and previously assisted Black List founder Franklin Leonard, where she created The Desi List. Drawing from her Indian-American upbringing and diverse industry background, Niki aims to become a filmmaker-first executive expanding the boundaries of sports storytelling.
