Writer, Saving Little Hope

Beth Ann Powers is an award-winning playwright, comedian, theater artist, and snarky little rascal currently residing in Washington, DC. She holds an MFA in dramatic writing from Carnegie Mellon University, and a BA in theater arts, performance creation from the University of Minnesota. Her work as a plawright has been produced regionally across the US from Minnesota to NYC. In 2015, Beth Ann helped launch her theater/ production company, Slap Happy Studios, for which she serves as Artistic Director. She is currently a member of Rails Comedy in DC as well as co-founder of DC’s first all-women sketch group, Chaps.
