
Writer/Director/Editor, Silence = Death
Trace Pope is a writer/director/editor originally from East Texas. He received his MFA in Film/TV Production from USC, his MA in Classical Theater from LAMDA, and his BA in English from the University of Texas. During his time at USC, Trace wrote & directed his thesis film (“A FUGUE”) which won the 2024 USC Faculty Award for Best Screenwriting. He was also awarded the 2023 Sloan Foundation Production Grant for his short film (“SILENCE = DEATH”) which won the 2025 USC Faculty Award for Best Producing, and his half-hour pilot (“Midwife Crisis”) is a Semi-Finalist for the 2025 Cinequest Screenwriting Competition.
He lives in Los Angeles, CA.
